Half Day Godley Head Walk

The walk follows rugged coastal cliffs with sweeping views across the Pacific Ocean, Pegasus Bay, and Lyttelton Harbour.  Along the way, explore restored WWII coastal defence gun emplacements, visit Scott's Cabin, and keep an eye out for seals, dolphins, and native birdlife.

Covering approximately 4 km with around 2.5 hours of walking and an elevation gain of 185 metres, this relaxed small-group experience is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. With morning and afternoon departures available, it's the perfect option for those short on time who still want to experience the spectacular scenery and history of Banks Peninsula.
