Rangitaiki River - Grade 4

We will collect you from Central Rotorua at 9 am on the day of departure. 

Driving for about 50mins south of Rotorua into the remote foothills of Te Urewera National Park where our exceptional guides will provide the correct dress code for current weather conditions. This is a wilderness rafting adventure therefore there are no changing facilities or toilets. 

The Rangitaiki boasts some of the country's most challenging rapids from the start which means we need to get you up from zero to hero to be ready to take on the infamous rapids Jeff's Joy and Fantail. The waves can be towering the size of a small car as we push through these action-packed sections.  Dodging rocks and trees you will transition into a slightly slower pace which enables you to take a breath of fresh air and check out the epic scenery that surrounds you. 

Halfway down we stop for a wild lunch on the banks of the river. 

After lunch and a gentle float, we are met by the remaining 10 km of rapids which vary from Grade 2-3 with a bunch of fun moves to keep you active and paddling until the takeout. 

Again getting undressed in a wilderness environment with the forest as your changing room.
