You will be shuttled out to Auripo by your nzbiketrails Guest Experience Manager. After a quick briefing on both the route and the bikes you will start your 'self-guided' ride down this section of the Otago Rail Trail. Experience one of the highlights of the Otago Rail Trail, the Poolburn Gorge, hidden away amongst the hills, glimpsed only by train passengers. Venture through the two tunnels and across the famous viaduct. Pass through Lauder and Omakau, cross over Tiger Hill and enjoy a very relaxed lunch at the Chatto Creek Tavern (not included).
Ideal riding for families aged 8 years and over. The Chatto Creek Tavern also has a fantastic children's area including donkeys and a small playground.
Your package includes a pick up from the Chatto Creek Tavern. However for any members of the group that want to continue down the trail Clyde is only 20km away. This can be arranged with your Guest Experience Manager on the day.
