Itinerary:
Queenstown – Your adventure begins in the beautiful city of Queenstown. As we drive out of town, your guide will introduce you to the highlights of the area and set the stage for the exciting day ahead.
Kawarau Suspension Bridge – Leaving Queenstown, we journey through the Kawarau Gorge, taking in scenic views, including the iconic Kawarau Suspension Bridge and the famous Roaring Meg Lookout. We’ll make a stop for the perfect photo opportunity.
Cromwell – After the gorge, we enter the fruit and wine-growing region of Cromwell. We’ll pass extensive vineyards, cross Lake Dunstan, and continue along the lake toward Lindis Pass.
Lindis Pass – Ascend into Lindis Pass, where breathtaking views of valleys unfold. One of only three alpine roads through the Southern Alps, we stop at a famous lookout for a memorable photo.
Omarama – As we drive across the expansive plains of the Mackenzie district, we'll spot the famous Merino sheep before stopping at the charming town of Omarama. Take a break or enjoy a delicious creamy chicken pie—widely considered the best in New Zealand!
Lake Pukaki – We then enter Aoraki National Park, where Lake Pukaki's stunning blue waters emerge, framed by the majestic Aoraki/Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. It’s a perfect spot for photos, and we’ll even point out filming locations from the Lord of the Rings series.
Ultimate Alpine Experience – Get ready for an unforgettable adventure with scenic flights in both a helicopter and a ski plane. This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes a glacier landing on the Tasman Glacier.
Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park – After your scenic flight, enjoy free time to explore on foot or participate in additional activities. Popular options include the Kea Point Track and the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. We'll ensure you're well taken care of, picking you up from your chosen activity.
High Country Salmon – On our return to Queenstown, we stop at High Country Salmon, a local farm where you can feed the fish and sample some of New Zealand’s freshest salmon.
Jacksons Orchard – During the summer months, we often make a stop at Jacksons Orchard to enjoy fresh, local fruit or a tasty real fruit ice cream as we near Queenstown.
Queenstown – Sadly, the tour concludes as we make our way back to Queenstown, where we say our goodbyes after an unforgettable day.
