Welcome to Wellington - the spiritual home and capital of New Zealand Craft Beer.

We combine visits to a mixture of very small to large craft breweries where you will get to meet (on most occasions) the Master Brewers/Owners. Our craft beer tour also includes a scenic drive to our last Craft Brewery of the day located on Wellingtons south coast.

To start with, we head out to Brewtown in Upper Hutt located at the old Dunlop Tyre Factory. Brewtown houses a number of great Craft Breweries.

Our first visit is to Kereru Brewing owned by Chris Mills and & Natasha Dahlberg where we taste a wide range of beers in their pouring room.

Our next Brewery is Te Aro Brewing Co in Brewtown for a tasting paddle of your choice along with lunch.

We then head back towards the city stopping at the very small brewery Abandoned in Avalon Lower Hutt for tastings and a brewery tour with Owner/Master Brewer Tim Ward or Head Brewer Charlotte Feehan.

After visiting Abandoned we head into the the city to Fortune Favours.

The last part of our craft beer journey takes us on a scenic drive around the Eastern and Southern Bays finishing up at our last Brewery of the day Double Vision in Miramar or Parrot Dog in Lyall Bay. Parrot Dog is the home of the famous original release ‘Bitter Bitch’ - aptly named for the problematic first brew day which hugely emphasised its hop bitterness. Are you brave enough to take on the ‘Bitter Bitch’?

We finish back in the city to your selected drop off location around 4:30pm.

Inclusions:

Bottled New Zealand spring water, lunch, tastings and entry fees.
